THIS PAGE MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO LOAD DUE TO THE PICTURES JUST HOLD ON!

Here is where it all started out. you can see what kind of progress I've made over the years, it all started with a simple school car and turned into a nasty habit. Some will say I'm sick (probably true) others that I'm an all out "nut" yep I'll vouch for that too. In all I love these cars I Basically cannot see myself buying anything other than an Audi especially the older ones. Have a browse thru everything is laid out in order, just pick the number below to view symptoms. All the cars have a status on them at the end which indicate ..INACTIVE, ACTIVE, DEAD, SOLD etc.

Enjoy.

AUDI NUMBER 1

1986 AUDI 5000 2.3 AUTOMATIC

My first Audi a 5000 I purchased it in Connecticut from an accountant. There were actually no existing photo’s of the car which was German taxi yellow so I found this on on the net. The car was later traded in for the project T44 car (Audi # 3). I bought this car as a means of  cheap transport, it turned out to be so reliable that I kept it for about 2 years or so. This was also the car that started my craze with Audi's.

AUDI NUMBER 2

1988 AUDI 90 2.3

My second Audi, a 90 model pretty much loaded the only thing that was missing was the leather and QUATTRO. The car later suffered a big wreck in upstate NY. Much later this car was traded for my second Quattro model –the black one. (Audi # 4).

is car is the T44 project go to the T44 index to get all details on what is going on

What this whole thing is all about, at least it was ...until this project was given up for greater things.  the #3 Audi (aka. T44 project). This car was bought in upstate New York. These pictures were the last known pictures of the car as it was alive. The picture with two cars shows #2 and #3 on the lawn behind our apartment we rented while living in upstate New York (1995-1998)   The car (#3)  was imported over to Europe shortly after these pictures I started putting the car  under the knife for restoration...later the project was completely killed and all or most parts were used in the other cars..  To see all the details of this car's restoration go to the T-44 project pages.

Front this car I also made an 1:18 model replica which I have still today...here are some pictures.

AUDI NUMBER 4

1988 AUDI 90 QUATTRO 2.3

My fourth Audi a model 90 just like the previous model 90 , except this one came from Florida and was equipped with QUATTRO & the leather interior. This car still continues in the Quattro-nation fleet today….still rockin. This car was exported over to Europe and is  living a happy & sheltered life in Luxembourg. My wife if the principal driver and it has over 130,000 miles logged on it. still major problem free actually up to now the only problem till now was the fuel pump at 125,000.

This car was stolen on 21-Nov-2001 and recovered the next day, it appears the burglars miss judged this car. First off they had not noticed that this car was US spec and would almost be impossible to resell in Europe under any condition and parts were not compatible with the euro B cars (I am suspecting only) because the car was later abandoned 25 Km from the robbery location. The burglars were even nice enough to lock the doors when finished no damage was accessed accept the door lock cylinders looked like they had been messed with. Aside from that it seems to be in fine condition (as before). No further details were known accept police indicate these were professionals by the way the car was broken into.

AUDI NUMBER 5

1992 AUDI 80 2.0 (EURO SPEC)

My fifth  Audi ….wait a minute!!    I went a step back, this model was too simple but it was interesting anyway.  This car took over the 100 Quattro's place when it was officially declared project T44. So this was a sort of replacement until better was found. This car is a Euro model,  It was purchased in Luxembourg  & was later sold off and replaced  with #6 Audi.

AUDI NUMBER 6

1990 AUDI 100 2.0 TD (EURO SPEC.)

Number 6 and counting, this makes my third type 44 chassis so I thought I'd try a diesel. It was a  100 2.0 TDI model European spec.  This car replaced the 80 model. The choice for this car was simple it was first and foremost a type44 and second the diesel gave me a chance to explore diesel technology. It was a very impressive car.  But I sold it off. It went to my in-laws and now lives a very pampered life in Portugal garaged and dry almost all year round.

This car has undergone several upgrades with while in my possession and with the new owners..

  • V8 rear lights

  • 15 aero wheels

  • wood trim panel interior update.

AUDI NUMBER 7

1990 AUDI 100 SPORT 2.2 TURBO (EURO SPEC.)

This car died of unfortunate circumstances...actually I plead guilty to speeding!!

While making a run for parts on a Saturday morning to a local scrap yard ..I ended up doing about 140-150 Kph on a small country road. , while going around one corner on the road I lost grip on the rear end it spun out (several times) and end up against several trees.

This was indeed painful. This car was the "MULE CAR"  which I was using as my test car for all my ideas form the project T44 car. From stainless steel fasteners to brake calipers this car had undergone tons of updates and was a lovely machine.

There was no repair for this car..the body was so twisted that not one panel was straight, not event the roof!  So I went months without a car until the perfect replacement was found. Take careful attention to the body after....NOT one panel was saved...NOT ONE...first impact was head on as shown on the first picture, the first tree hit head on you can see the tree marking!!! that was right in front of me...my side. From there the car rotated and hit the next panel ...and the next ...and the next...until every panel, the whole car was a wreck!! I came out ...UNBELIEVABLE !!! ALIVE!!!...OH by the way ...look at the drivers door...that was a direct hit with one of the trees...it left a "nice" dent on the door....that was my head right there!!!

OH did I mention it yet...I was not wearing a seat belt! ...stupid ..YES...blessed  ..MORE YES...

This car is one of only a few like it unique because it was a "SPORT" model. the sport models came with a upgraded fenders front and rear similar to the Audi 200 20v.

AUDI NUMBER 8

1991 AUDI V8  (EURO SPEC.) 5 speed

This car was bought on October 2001 in Luxembourg, It was the unexpected car, I didn't expect to buy such a car and never expected to fall in love with the V8's. This is my 5th type 44 and a fine example it is it cruises with prowess of a cat on the hunt. the most beautiful of these cars is the engine sound. It is just simply an experience to have a V8 under your hood.

Now I lucked out even more on this car then you think, this car is one of the few manual shift cars built, and top it all off this car is in perfect shape, interior in flawless (see pictures), the only thing that didn't appeal to me was the wheels but I have already have a plan for those.

The picture on the left is from the car as I purchased it (original)

Over the years I have resorted the car quite a bit..allot of the parts I had done for the T44 project went right onto this car...allot of polished parts , suspension...the car is now almost factory new...almost...Here is a picture from the front end taken apart...this was taken in Portugal around 2004 or so. I was bored while On vacation.

I later added a new item something I had always liked...I creat the EVO front spoiler project ..Around 2005-2006 and added it to the car ...WOW it was getting better by the day. (See picture on the right side of the front spoiler).

Here are few shots of the interior:

   Now look more like this

With this car I penned and designed a ton of parts...maybe you can spot some on the pictures...the White front blinkers ...which I created I think in 2003-2004, I also added the BBS 16 wheels and of course the killer for the whole car was the exhaust!!!!

Here is my You-tube video of the car with the exhaust system:

If that was not enough...I also made a 1:18 scale replica of the V8 also!

AUDI NUMBER 9

1990 AUDI 100 AVANT

NEWS: as of Feb 2004 I purchased yet another one!!! Well I had the need for an AVANT although it was not exactly what I wanted this one did poses some interesting elements. I should mention however that the owner that had this car before was a PIG!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the interesting things I did on this car was add the clear headlight from the FAW cars (Audi 100 made in China)...the car was just way too different. In the end however I noticed the the lights were not Europe SPEC...they did not have the specific light beam pattern as required by Euro regulation....worst was the lighting at night ..it seemed to throw the light all over...dispersing it..more like a flood lamp..wierd...still they looked nice!

From this project alone I learned quizillions of things about lights and proper lighting.

I later used them on the Audi 100 sport (Audi #10).

Ok so after I cleaned out the interior (washing the carpets, door panels and seats) I went straight for the obvious...I added white face gauges...from none other then my own work ( http://homepage.internet.lu/customautocraft/ ) then I added dark wood panels,  this car had no wood trim just the basic black interior door panel trim. The wood look I gave it is more like the newer Audi's more a mat finish instead of the clear finish as originally on these cars. Maybe you can see the results in the interior picture above.

I also added a new original stereo, new shifter, and boot, plus the brake button what else.

On the Outside is still lots to do but as you can see from the pictures I have already added the red V8 lights for the avant as well. I added also the very rare 200 20v Front fenders to the car...So the car ran around with 20020v front fenders (still in white) for a while until I found the next substitute.

I have to see however, even though this car was just a FWD it was a nice car...after I had done all the work on the car of course!  The car was sold in Luxembourg ...I have never seen the car again...I don't know if the person which purchased it knew what he had.....it was lovely ...really.

 AUDI NUMBER 10

AUDI 100 AVANT SPORT QUATTRO TURBO

WOW!! that is one long name.. Well I found this one finally after years of searching and what I found indeed. This is a very very unique car. As you can see it looks sort of like the 200 20v but is not. I assure you all those body panels are original from the factory. This is the famous "Sport package" in EUROPE only. These cars were only available from what I can tell in Europe and mostly in Northern Europe. This one I purchased in Late 2004 in Bavaria Germany and was imported over to Luxembourg. I very fine piece of machine indeed. It came basically with the MC turbo motor rated at some 165-170 BHP. I have added the red v8 lights, 16" V8 BBS wheels and of course I had the exhaust system I designed a few years ago...see the T44 project under exhaust. I offer these exhaust systems now on my business web-site.

In all I have now one of my all time favorite cars in one of the best guises that one could have order, a real dream.
