- Approach: Our strategy is to promote establishments which enable all children and adults, whatever their sex, age, abilities, deficiencies, religion or ethnic origin, to be able to participate and find their place in society. During the 2005-06 school year 25 children with hearing deficiencies and 10 children with cerebral palsy took part in this programme. We send teachers and therapists to the homes of children under two with hearing deficiencies and children with cerebral palsy under three to help the parents.. - Resources and requirements:
Continued development is essential to give handicapped children access to education. Our only funding comes from the St Paul of Chartres Convent and it is too limited to cover our costs. We are therefore seeking donations for:
+ Equipping classes;
+ Paying salaries to therapists and specialists;
+ Organising training courses for teachers and other staff;
+ Referring chronic cases to health care and mental health care professionals;
+ Sharing knowledge and teaching and treatment experience with local and international specialists.
